Texas Tech Hosts Chinese University Administrators

Delegation will learn how U.S. universities operate.

Written by Leslie Cranford

A 24-member delegation from China’s prestigious Southwest University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) in Chengdu will participate in an Administrator Education Program from Jan. 9-23. The visit is organized and hosted by Texas Tech University’s Office of International Affairs and Rawls College of Business Administration.

SWUFE and Texas Tech are partner universities with exchange programs in business. The two-week training program will increase SWUFE’s understanding of how American universities work and advance Texas Tech’s mission of internationalizing its campus. During the first week the delegation will visit various departments across campus and attend lectures on American higher education and university management. The second week will consist of field trips to Austin Community College, the University of Texas, Texas A&M University and Rice University.
