El Paso Times - El Paso cancer survivor will be on 'The View'
EL PASO — Cancer survivor and patient advocate Mary Carmen Gonzalez will be featured Wednesday on the ABC talk show “The View.” The Barbara Walters chatfest airs at 10 a.m. weekdays on Channel 7-KVIA (cable Channel 6). Gonzalez was chosen because she was selected as a 2006 Yoplait Champion for her work, show producer Jennifer Brookman said. Gonzalez has survived two bouts of breast cancer and is the support services coordinator for Texas Tech University’s Breast Care Center in El Paso.
